The Morgan Aero 8 is a sports car built by Morgan Motor Company at its factory in Malvern Link, England (an area of Malvern in Worcestershire) and designed by the firm’s designer Matthew Humphries.
The Aero 8 is notable for several reasons, primarily because it is the first new Morgan design since 1964’s +4+. It does not use anti-roll bars, an oddity in a modern sporting car. It is also the first Morgan vehicle with an aluminium chassis and frame as opposed to traditional Morgan vehicles (“trads”) that have an aluminium skinned wooden body tub on a steel chassis.
MORGAN AERO 8
The engine first powering the Aero 8 was a 4400 cc V8 built by BMW mated to a 6-Speed Getrag transmission, delivers effortless, exhilarating power to the rear wheels via a BTR limited slip differential.
The Aero 8 evolved from a racing prototype that demonstrated the extraordinary capabilities of the super-stiff, bonded aluminium chassis and Morgan’s specially-developed suspension system.
The car’s racing pedigree is clearly visible in the production car, from the AP-Racing brakes to the aviation quality fittings under the bonnet.
This Morgan Aero 8, model year 2002, was delivered new in 2002 in the Netherlands.
This Aero 8 comes from its first owner. The km’s are perfectly documented: every maintenance invoice from delivery till present is available. This Aero 8 is very punctually maintained! Because it is a Dutch car, the mileage is guaranteed by the National Car Pass. The color combination (same color combination as the sales brochure), at least in our opinion, is very beautiful.
Maximum speed: 260 km/h
0-62 mph (100 km/h): Under 5.0 secs
The car has a valid Dutch registration and comes with APK (like MOT/TUV/CT).
