Manufactured by Centro Stile Alfa Romeo, the 8C gave the Italian marque back its style and panache. With a superb shape reminiscent of the Alfa 33 Stradale, the car was powered by a V8 4.7-litre Ferrari engine, mated to a six-speed robotic gearbox that provided a supercar performance. The model was so successful that the initial planned production of 500 examples was immediately exceeded.
What makes this car special is that it was bought new by its current owner, a serious collector and genuine enthusiast. He first came across the model at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, and succeeded in placing an order, even though he wasn’t on the list of pre-registered buyers. Having reserved the 39th example destined for France (out of 39), the order was signed on 2 March 2007 under the number 103. The specification was for a car in competitzione ” mica ” red, with perforated red leather upholstery. Two years later, in June 2008, the owner took delivery of his car at the Établissements Pozzi. It has been regularly maintained there ever since and has never been damaged. Despite a mileage that stands at just 3.451 km today, the car has had all its maintenance checks and major services, and has been driven regularly for short distances by our collector, who is used to looking after collector cars. Today, it is presented in almost new condition, with totally original paintwork. The car comes with its service book, tools and booklets.
This example offers all the qualities of the 8C as well as being in exceptional condition, with extremely low mileage. A rare opportunity.
